I was born and raised in Newport News, Virginia. Ever since I can remember I always had a camera in my hand documenting anything around me. As I got older, my passion for film continued to grow. As a junior in high school, I was able to work with my local school district and produce several talk shows for the station. Now, I am currently working with Newport News Public Schools Channel 47 filming and editing events and shows for the station, while growing my own photography/videography business LaVons Media LLC.

 

As a graduate of Radford, I have taken audio production, video editing, television studio class, and many more that expanded my knowledge of the world of film. I was able to create news packages, film PSA's and other projects, and learn a lot of valuable skills from my professors. After  I graduate, I hope to continue my education in graduate school.
